Step into the dark side of NINJAGO and discover the sinister force known as the Forbidden Five. These ancient Elemental Masters—masters of Swarm, Misfortune, Decay, Chaos, and Theroxian Magic—were once banished to the Nether-Space by the Dragon Masters. Their leader, the mysterious and powerful Nokt, seeks to reclaim NINJAGO with the help of Lord Ras and the shadowy Wolf Clan. Their resurgence threatens the balance of NINJAGO and the realms beyond.

Members of the Forbidden Five:

  • Drix with Weapon – The Elemental Master of Swarm. Drix commands a hive of destructive insects. Though physically weak, his speed and overwhelming numbers make him dangerous.
  • Zarkt – The Elemental Master of Misfortune. Zarkt spreads chaos through sheer bad luck, striking with chained weapons that leave foes off-balance.
  • ☠️ Kur – The Elemental Master of Decay. A jackal-headed warrior whose corroding touch withers everything. Armed with rusted weapons and ruinous intent.
  • 🌌 Nokt – The Elemental Master of Chaos and leader of the Forbidden Five. Nokt’s Shatterspin Technique disrupts elemental energy and opens portals of madness.
  • 🌀 Rox – The Elemental Master of Theroxian Magic. With soul-transfer magic and dark strategy, Rox is the most dangerous tactician of the group.

Story and Role:

In NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 2, Lord Ras and the Wolf Clan shattered the seals imprisoning the Forbidden Five in the Temple of the Dragon Cores. Through the Tournament of the Sources, Ras gathered the strength to weaken their prison and set their full return in motion.

During the tournament, Evil Jay—under Ras’s manipulation—fought for the Wolf Clan, helping to free the Five. Though not a member himself, his use of the forbidden Shatterspin Technique revealed the depth of Ras’s corruption. His battle with Nya became a key turning point.

As Season 3 unfolds, the Forbidden Five challenge the new and veteran ninja: Lloyd, Nya, Cole, Zane, Sora, and Arin, with each dark elemental force pushing NINJAGO closer to collapse.
