LEGO® Creator 3 in 1 Iconic Ferris Wheel (31389) puts the movement of a fairground at the centre of a 916-piece building set for ages 8 and up. The same bricks can become three different attractions, each with a mechanism children can operate by hand.
Turn the eight-carriage Ferris wheel
Build the colourful wheel with eight passenger carriages, then use the handle at the back to make it rotate. An ice cream stand gives visitors somewhere to stop between rides. The set includes four minifigures: two children, a woman and a fairground worker, so the attraction can be busy from the start.
Rebuild into a spinning UFO ride or carousel
A second option creates a UFO-themed ride that spins flat or at an angle, complete with a ticket booth. The carousel alternative has four swings that spread out as the ride rotates. All three options use the same bricks, so only one ride can be built at a time. The Ferris wheel is approximately 28 cm tall, suitable for both play and display. The Ferris wheel's 28 cm height is the clearest display-space consideration, while the manual spinning mechanisms give each ride a different play action.
