The LEGO® City Airport Fire Truck (60499) is an emergency vehicle designed for a big airfield. With 691 pieces and room for four firefighter minifigures, the model gives builders aged 7 and up several jobs to perform before and during an airport rescue.
Aim the roof extinguisher around the truck
The roof-mounted extinguishing arm rotates through 360 degrees and fires LEGO water elements. Turn a dial to steer the vehicle toward a pretend emergency, then open the side compartments to find the tools. The cab has seating for the crew so all four firefighters can travel together.
Open the engine area for maintenance
The engine can be removed for a repair scene, extending the story beyond firefighting. This is a large manually operated rescue truck, rather than a remote-controlled or motorised vehicle.
