The LEGO® City Vintage Steam Train (60511) recreates a traditional railway journey in 575 pieces. A steam locomotive, coal tender and passenger carriage are joined by a small station, making this set for ages 7 and up about the people at the platform as much as the train itself.
Connect the carriages and signal departure
Magnetic couplings join the engine, tender and passenger car. Explore the locomotive's cab and firebox details, seat passengers in the carriage and raise or lower the semaphore signal at the station. A track section, platform, canopy bench, ramp and lamppost make a place to stop.
Can this steam train be motorised?
Yes, but Powered Up components are sold separately. LEGO specifies a Hub (88009) and Train Motor (88011), with optional Remote Control (88010) or control using the Powered Up app. The box includes five minifigures, but is not described as a motorised train out of the box.
