With 1,675 pieces, the LEGO® Technic McLaren MCL39 F1 Car (42228) is a detailed 1:8-scale model of McLaren's 2025 Formula 1 car. Its 61 cm length makes it a substantial display build intended for adult enthusiasts.
Suspension and drivetrain in focus
The model includes push-rod and pull-rod suspension, steering and a differential. Beneath the removable engine cover are a V6 engine and a two-speed gearbox; a DRS mechanism adjusts the rear wing.
A detailed McLaren race-car profile
The long nose, exposed racing wheels and aerodynamic bodywork provide a clear Formula 1 silhouette. The moving mechanisms make the model equally relevant to collectors interested in the engineering behind a race car.
