LEGO® DREAMZzz™ Nightmare Scorpion Digger (71513) reimagines an excavator as a creature from a nightmare. With 505 pieces and a 7+ age recommendation, it offers a smaller fantasy-vehicle project than the large Crocodile Submarine or Tiger Shark Tank.
The first design combines a six-legged scorpion with clawed pincers, shooters and a crushing excavator arm. The alternative is a biomechanical wasp with adjustable wings, a stinger shaped like an excavator and its own shooters. Only one main creature-vehicle is built at a time; switching between them involves rebuilding.
Heroes, villains and the corrupted egg
Mateo, Cooper and Arika minifigures join Z-Blob, three spiders and an Orange Treasure Creature that hatches from a pink diamond egg. Cooper also has a separate mini mech with posable arms, legs, claws and a shooter. The scorpion mode measures about 20 cm high and 23 cm wide.
